Heegaard Floer homology and complex curves with non-cuspidal singularities

Abstract: We will discuss joint work with B. Liu and M. Borodzik, concerning applications of Heegaard Floer d-invariants to the study of complex curves in $\mathbb{CP}^2$ with non-cuspidal singularities. We focus on the simplest such singularity, which is a double point.
